This one-of-a-kind cuff is an exploration of color, texture, and light, bringing together anodized titanium, Argentium® Sterling Silver, luminous gemstones, and iridescent mother-of-pearl in a composition that continually reveals new details. It is one of my favorite cuffs I have ever created.

The foundation begins with a ¾-inch-wide titanium cuff that has been flame painted using resist techniques to build layered colors and organic patterns. The surface transitions through light blues, yellows, golds, magentas, and subtle greens beneath a dark gray splash pattern, creating the impression of a naturally weathered landscape. Scattered across the titanium are polished silver dots—each one a carefully placed spot weld that adds both texture and visual rhythm.

Floating across the titanium are smoked mother-of-pearl discs in varying sizes, each individually riveted with handcrafted silver rivets. The larger discs display iridescent silvery-gray tones with flashes of soft magenta and green framed by deep charcoal edges, while the smaller discs glow with warm reddish-magenta hues and shifting iridescence that changes with the light.

The opposite side of the cuff features a hand-fabricated Argentium® Sterling Silver panel roller printed with a radiating sunburst texture. Silver filings were fused into the center of the pattern, followed by fused silver discs of varying sizes whose edges were carefully hammered to create additional dimension. A subtle blue-gray patina settles into every recess, while the raised surfaces have been polished to a brilliant finish, enhancing the depth and contrast of the intricate textures.

At the center rests a hand-cut and bezel-set moonstone-sunstone cabochon. The moonstone exhibits a luminous silvery-gray flash with smoky undertones, while the sunstone displays a vibrant schiller effect with shimmering flecks of pink, green, magenta, and copper dancing across its surface. Completing the composition are two post-set pink cultured pearls that add softness and elegance to the richly textured metals.

Every element has been individually fabricated, textured, fused, riveted, and finished by hand, creating a wearable sculpture that balances contemporary metalsmithing with the beauty of naturally occurring materials.
