Indonesian Agate & Argentium® Sterling Silver Bypass Ring
Indonesian Agate & Argentium® Sterling Silver Bypass Ring
This one-of-a-kind bypass ring is an organic composition of flowing lines, botanical forms, and striking natural stone.
The shank is hand-fabricated from three round Argentium® Sterling Silver wires that have been permanently fused together and wrapped into an elegant bypass design. The open construction creates a graceful sense of movement while allowing the ring to be adjusted for a comfortable fit.
One end of the shank blossoms into an abstract floral form, created by fusing multiple silver discs together to resemble an unfolding flower. The opposite end is finished with randomly wrapped lengths of fine 26-gauge Argentium silver wire that have been permanently fused in place, creating a contrasting texture that feels both energetic and organic.
The focal point is a hand-cut Indonesian agate cabochon displaying warm rusty reds and oranges with a subtle splash of yellow, a section of stark white agate, and naturally occurring marcasite. Cut into a classic cat’s-eye shape, the elongated stone measures approximately 1¾ inches long by ½ inch at its widest point, making it a dramatic centerpiece that beautifully complements the sculptural silverwork.
Every element has been individually fabricated, fused, and finished by hand, resulting in a ring that celebrates the harmony between natural materials and contemporary metalsmithing.
