Agatized Wood & Argentium® Silver Bypass Ring
Agatized Wood & Argentium® Silver Bypass Ring
This one-of-a-kind bypass ring celebrates movement, texture, and the beauty of natural materials. The flowing design wraps comfortably around the finger, with the two ends gracefully passing one another to create an elegant, sculptural form. This open construction also allows for slight size adjustment to accommodate a range of ring sizes.
The shank is hand-fabricated from multiple gauges of Argentium® Sterling Silver half-round wire, permanently fused together with an assortment of silver granules in both round and elongated forms. The result is a richly textured, organic surface that reflects my signature style of controlled chaos while showcasing the remarkable fusing capabilities of Argentium silver.
The focal point is an exceptional cabochon of chalcedony/agatized wood from Indonesia, featuring vivid blue chrysocolla accented by dramatic splashes of black, tan, and white mineral inclusions. Measuring approximately 1½ inches long by ⅝ inch wide, the stone is intentionally set at an angle in a hand-fabricated, hammer-textured bezel, giving the ring an asymmetrical composition that enhances its bold, contemporary character.
Every element has been individually fabricated, fused, and finished by hand, ensuring that no two pieces can ever be exactly alike.
